Subject: Garmin Issues
Morning all

I am having problems uploading my 910xt. I used my laptop and it seen the 910xt and uploaded to Garmin connect, no problem. I have tried to upload on this site to my training log and it a problem. On the laptop it says I need to upgrade the communicator, so I tried many times. Under the downloads link on Garmin it seems to go though, then the main page says I need to upgrade. Then it just goes around and around.

On my desktop on this site it looks for my 310xt. I tried to search for new devices, as it switches me to the Garmin page and the 910xt does not show up. This site says all my Garmin software is current, but it does not see the 910xt.

I am going to stop now and go get a Latte. I am hoping someone has a suggestion when I get back

Frustrated
Joe

I had this problem when I went from my 305 to the 910xt. I cannot remember what finally fixed it. Is garmin connect working with your ANT agent? I'm thinking there was something related to installing that and rebooting, but I can't be sure.

The problem with Garmin's websites and IE8 / IE9 / IE10 / IE11 is that Garmin uses an IE add-on to upload to https://connect.garmin.com, and that add-on is not compatible with the default security settings IE uses. Garmin instead asks everyone to change IE settings and add the correct Garmin websites to the "Trusted sites" IE security zone so that their add-on will work. It's a longstanding issue that Microsoft has worked with Garmin to correct but no joy so far.

Generally changing the settings as above will let the add-on work.  PM me if your issues continue and I can help.

I will give it a try. I really had to walk away and get a latte, I was starting to talk to the computer and well we all know what that means.

The ANT agent on the laptop seen the 910 right away and loaded to Garmin Connect with no problem.

Would switching to Firefox as the default browser solve the problem?

On the long bike rides of 80+ miles I get very strong pain in my toes. I slow down my pace and I might recover, but when I hit the next hill it is back. Could this be some kind of circulation issue?
