Hello BT!  Here's to another week!

4:15am:  45 minute run

5:00am:  60 minutes strength

Easy week leading up to the Salt Lake City Half Marathon on Saturday--although it really will be a training run for the HIM! Still, I'm excited for it!

Have a great day!

Good Morning

Probably going to head over to the pool and swim a bit today. Managed to make it thru the weekend of running the Dogs with my calf strain without doing any more damage, thanks to a bucket load of KT tape and some new compression sleeves( Heaven) , only tweeked it once on Saturday during a 37 second 168 yd run with lots of quick direction changes. Cosmo Got 2 Q's and his AADC title to move into masters agility Stormy Did not, but ran very well with 3 nice Qualifying runs she Just didn't get the one that we needed to move her Up to masters as well.

Have a great day all.

Good morning!

I finnaly got off my rear and headed to the pool today. First swim in 6 months. Just a bunch of easy laps for 800 yards total. Trying to re-train my stroke and breathing.

I went into the pool area (as this was a pool swim) and got body marked. That's when it hit me that I was there to race - this was not a clinic.

I have been able to swim 200-300 yards without stopping for the past couple of weeks, but this morning I couldn’t swim more than 50. Could not eating make a big differance?

This is not an easy task, especially for the “9-to-5er” with family. But you can do it – all without sacrificing your marriage, job or family.

Once you caught your breath, it occurred to you that finishing even a short triathlon might be harder than you thought. After a few "laps" you thought, "I can't believe I'm so out of shape."
