Subject: Felt B2 Derailleur Hanger
Hey Guys,

The derailleur hanger on my 2009 B2 snapped this weekend. Love this bike, but the downside is that the hanger is incorporated into the frame. Has anyone seen this problem before, or more importantly a remedy? I've called my local Felt dealer and have also taken it to a trusted LBS, they both agree the frame is most likely FUBAR. From what I understand the portion where the hanger is located is not carbon fiber, so a carbon repair may be out. Right now it looks like the only option may be a new frame. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Hate to tell you, but that frame is pretty much toast… I bet someone like Calfee could potentially do a repair job, but by the time you've invested in that, you're pretty much in the same $ as replacing the frame.

Have you contacted Felt? I don't know if they have crash replacement warranty, but that could be worth asking for.

I am in the exact same boat with my 2009 B2 snapped exactly like yours. Calfee told me that if I could get that replacement piece (i.e. hanger where it is molded into the carbon fiber) that they could do it. Did you ever get this figured out? What did you end up doing? Replacing the frame?
