And once the .fit file is there I can upload to all the other sites like Strava, no problem. My experience leads me to believe there has to be something else going on other than just on Garmin's side. |

Garmin corrected one issue that prevented us from going live last weekend. We tested that and we have encountered another error that they have been working on for the past few days. I am waiting. |

Champion 13323 | Subject: RE: Garmin Upload THIS WORKS. REALLY. It came online last night. I performed some limited testing this morning. To have Garmin Auto-send workouts to your BT log: 1 - Make sure you have a Garmin Connect Account and Garmin Express Installed. 2 - In BT, go to Settings--> Training log settings --> Device Upload. Click on the button to link your accounts. 3 - Any workout manually imported in Garmin Connect (TCX, FIT, GPX) will automatically get sent to BT along with any workouts Garmin Express gets from your device. *Manually creating a workout on Garmin Connect will not sync with BT. **From this mornings testing, workouts get sent to BT and parsed for display within a minute. Though in the future, this may take longer. Please report any issues or questions here. |

Regular 606 Portland, Oregon | Subject: RE: Garmin Upload Thanks for the heads up! I clicked everything and I guess I'll now need to wait for a new workout before it starts syncing. For you, did it link up all the old workouts as well, or just 'from now on'? For anyone else who wants to do this...it is under TRAINING LOG SETTINGS. You never go to the training log page. Perhaps I am just bad at following directions, but it took me a few minutes to find it. Perhaps it is easier to start here: http://www.beginnertriathlete.com/Profile/#and go to "Training Log Settings" on the left bar (not along the top bar). |

BUT if you have a TCX, FIT or GPX of the file and manually upload them in Garmin Connect, if they are old workouts they will still come over. Though if you have a bunch of workouts on your device that is not on Garmin Connect and you setup Express to send them all over, they may all come through...I haven't tested it like that. |

Regular 606 Portland, Oregon | Subject: RE: Garmin Upload All my workouts are already up on GC. I have fit and tcx backups of everything, so is my only option is to manually upload them on here...one at a time? The Device upload stopped working for me back in February. I believe that was when the Express launched and started saving them locally in a different location. |

Hmmmmm...I would say manually BUT we can try this: wrap them all up in a zip file and try to send them to [email protected]om. If too big, we'll figure out a dropbox solution. We 'may' be able to dump them all in the processing que behind the hood. This may take a week or two though... |

Member 44 | Subject: RE: Garmin Upload I have a Garmin Forerunner 210 which does not have capability to switch to a run or bike category. I use it for both by changing setting between pace or speed. When downloading to Garmin Connect I change the category from Run to Bike once downloaded. However, that does not seem to be an option in BT - as I successfully linked BT and Garmin Connect but ALL workouts come through to BT as Run's and then I am unable to change a "Run" to a "Bike" category. Am I missing something or is this a the case. Thanks for all the good/hard work......still the best overall single application for training/reporting/planning |

Thanks for all the good/hard work......still the best overall single application for training/reporting/planning At the moment, there is no way to 'reassign' a workout once it comes to BT. With this new integration with Garmin, this is obviously more of an issue that we need to have a solution for. The only way to 'get around' this is to disable the linking of accounts and manually upload the file to BT where you can then upload it as a bike or run. |
