When I got into aero, I inadvertently allowed my tire to drift off the path into the rough. When my bike dropped from under me, my feet became unclipped gratefully...but slowing from 20mph to 0mph with nothing under you is not a flawless process.

Sprained my wrist, cut my palms, and have road rash in various parts of my body.

The good news is that I was still able to do my 3-mile run after I got off my bike.

Hopefully I can use my thumb soon.

at least you got it out of the way and the bike is ok stay on the hoods until you get fully realigned in the path next time.

Dude, sorry about that crash and I hope both you and your bike are recovering. What I find odd is that no one stopped to help or ask if you were ok! At least from the video I didn't see or hear anyone.

Well, this isn't exactly motivating seeing that I am getting my first TT bike today and I am scared crapless about it...

Glad everyone stopped to help you or at least make sure you were ok.

It was the skateboarders fault, don't blame yourself!Seriously, glad you walked away. It sounded like someone asked if you were ok? No one stopped though huh?It looks like you tore a chunk of the path up when you went down.

Going aero and riding at high speeds on a narrow bike path is usually not the safest option as you don't have much of anywhere to go, or space to make adjustments if needed. Glad to see you are okay though, be safe outside

To those that say nobody stopped to see if you are OK, view again with the volume higher.

At 0:28 seconds you can hear somebody say "are you OK?" and the reply "ahh, I think so" just prior to seeing someone pass on a bike.

I am happy that both you and the bike did not get more serious damage.

In one respect, it is cool that you got it on video. Its not something normally capture live from that perspective very often.

I recall for my last crash that I was thinking of getting back on the bike and I wasn't that hurt, but I had a flat and figured it would be too painful to repair. It turned out I had a broken collar bone and 2 cracked ribs. It sometimes takes a while for the pain to set in.

How sad is it that I already saw this posted on Reddit yesterday? I may be spending too much time on the internet...
