Also i did 20 minutes on Effort level 25 the maximum effort level it says my average rpm was 32

Are these decent times or rubbish

Please help !

I use a similar bike for some workouts. I'd set the resistance to something more reasonable and hold a cadence closer to your road bike (75-100 range for most people). Depends on your weight/strength but on our gym's Techno bikes, for me (115 pound woman, mediocre biker), a brisk hour's ride would be around Effort Level 5, RPM in the 90-100 range, 32-33 km. I've done the 20-minute power tests on both the Techno bike and the computrainer-- I get a similar heart rate to approximately 33 kph on a Computrainer, power reading is about 30 watts lower. The watt meter on the Techno bike tends to exaggerate distance/power at higher cadences, and underestimate it at lower candences and higher resistance. Distances/watts only make sense compared to other workouts on the same bike; they are only comparable to road times at certain resistance/cadence levels that approach a road bike. For reference, my best Oly bike time is around 1:16; sprint 36 minutes, maybe a little faster (haven't done a standard distance race yet this year).

2 1/3 hours at 130+ rpm's??? I don't think that number is accurate.

Clarifying--I'm using the Technogym stationary in a position similar to a road bike in aero. Resistance is set electronically, not manually as with the spin bikes. It has a display that shows cadence, effort level, power, and "distance" traveled (calculated by some combo of cadence and resistance). In any case, you should be doing most of your bike training in reasonable ranges of power/resistance/cadence/heart rate that might occur in a triathlon. You're probably not going to have too many situations where cadence is below 50, or over 110. I'd determine "normal" cadence/power with a field test on a Computrainer (with road bike) or outside on your road bike. "Distance" on the stationary or spin bike is not that accurate, but I find if I stick to resistance levels that get me a reasonable cadence (for me, 4-6), it's not ridiculously off. Depending on road conditions (most of my road training is in a very windy area, with some tight turns and rough pavement that limits my speed; but I sometimes ride faster routes), I'm usually between 2 and 4 kph (1.2-2.5 miles) "faster" per hour on the stationary than on the road on my actual bike. This would also be in the realm of reason for a Computrainer workout vs. a road workout, due to the lack of turns, wind, etc.

The doctor says not to run again. Ever. Needless to say, I’m not taking this very well. Can I recover from this? Where should I go from here?

I usually have at least one workout per day, sometimes two or three, but I spend about all in-between time eating. I am not gaining weight, but I am not losing weight either. Should I be concerned?

As a triathlete, there is one acronym that you just can’t fathom ever having next to your name in a race report – DNF: DID NOT FINISH.
