My wife developed a Morton's Neuroma last year and had to switch shoes, Brook Glycerin 11's have worked very well for her. She needs a new pair but is not happy with having to spend the $ for them. I see several pairs of new Glycerin 10's on eBay for ~half the price. Anyone know what are the differences between the Glycerin 11 & 10?
I've not run in the 11's, but do run in the 10's. I've been buying them up on clearance since I know I love them. I've inspected and tried on the 11's and they seem comfortable, but the main differences I've seen are: the 11's seem a little lighter (though both are listed at 11.8 oz I think ), I think the drop is slightly lower. I felt that when the 10's are no longer available I would have no trouble transitioning to the 11's...I would think it would work vice versa too.
The 10's have served me very well and that's why I'm sticking with them as long as possible (and while they are cheap! ). The interior lining is very comfortable and I will run Olympic distance tri's without socks and have never developed a blister. |
