Hey guys!
Longtime lurker firsttime poster. My name is Frank and I'm in the process of gearing up for my first triathalon... I was inspired by the 6 time champion David Scott and his webcast to really get off my butt and try this out. I''m wondering if anyone else has heard of David Scott's newest cast? It's been pretty inspirational and motivational for me. The link is here for those that are interested. http://www.x2performance.com/webcast-dave-scott-20140412/

He's got a lot of good tips and was really the motivating factor in me registering at this forum, actually, lol.

I only had 6 weeks to prepare, so I pushed myself pretty hard while I was training. After my first figure competition, my trainer had me take a week off just to rest and recoup. Was this needed?

This half Ironman plan covers many weeks of challenging, but attainable training for someone who has some endurance experience, and ideally some Olympic distance races within the past season.
