Subject: Run or Dye race not actually happening?

I saw this on my FB feeds from one of my friends from HS. I think this is interesting and terrible. The race is set for about 2 weeks from now and it's been confirmed that it's not happening, but the racers haven't been notified?? I read this article earlier and then there was an update from one of the exec's with Run or Dye.

I love how they're trying to say that they couldn't get worked out with the city. Not quite saying it's the city's fault...but not NOT saying that either. There is no indication on their event site, for the Champaign event, that says it's not happening then.

We kinda same thing here with a triathlon. The lake owners decided to raise there lake usages fee from $1 a racer to $30 a racer so the race was killed there. They then tried to put on there own race using the same date and course as the other one. The old race moved 1 town over and everyone who used to do my towns triathlon did the other one. Funny thing was they both used part of the same course.
