Anyone else doing it?

I'm in for the Olympic distance. It will be my 2nd Olympic.

Looks like the water is gonna be chilly!

It ended up being a really nice race. The water warmed up to about 65 degrees. I went with a sleeveless wet suit.

The bike course was pretty rough, at least for me. I don't see those mountains over here in Jersey.
The run was flat in the middle miles with a climb at the beginning and end.

Really small this year. Only 53 Olympics. 30ish half ironman, and 20 some sprints.

But for a first year, really well run. The resort is beautiful.

I may have to check this out in 2015 if they move it to a Saturday. But I am sure that is unlikely.

The 2nd annual coming up this weekend.

Looking forward to taking a shot at these climbs again. Water is gonna be chilly.....again.

Might be a little rain this year.

Great venue. Cabin right on the water next to transition.

Love this race.

I signed up for 2017. This will be my first tri. I reserved one of the bungalows next to transition. Hopefully staying Friday and Saturday night will avoid some of the stress.

My first triathlon was at age 56. At first I was just the cameraman at my daughter's first triathlon, then I am doing the races that she has done.

The triathlon made a lot of sense as I could fit the training around early mornings and other times that wouldn't eat too much into my family time. Things never go completely to plan do they?

I found a sprint, the Lake Las Vegas Triathlon, that was happening four months down the road and signed myself up; much to the surprise of friends and family.

Both the Lake Triathlon Shoe CX210TRI and the Lake Road Shoe CX225 offer distinct advantages. I tested both shoes and found them to be extremely comfortable, good looking and durable.

A description of my experiences during my first triathlon. It was a great experience. I’m in better shape than I’ve ever been.

If you are calm while everyone around you is losing it, you probably don’t know what the hell is going on.
