Not this year (too close to my due date!) but it's one of my favorite races!

I'm considering it. Have had some nagging knee issues. I'm waiting until June 1 to decide.

someone mentioned this sells out quite frequently (i don't know for sure) - have you considered buying a bib, and then transferring it if you can't run (its allowed per the website)

The last few years it hasn't sold out as fast. I don't even think it sold out last year.

That thought has crossed my mind though.

We're a month out. I'm registered but still dealing with some injuries. Hoping to at least make it to the starting line and have an easy 10 mile day.

I'm in, and it looks like there are still spots open.  Not sure if this'll be an easy run (with my wife) or one that I try to get a solid hard run in.  We'll see.  Looking forward to it, though I like the race.

just over 2 weeks out - everyone ready? i'm going to make it an easy run - sticking with my galloway - 4/2 run/walk splits for training - this race is 5 weeks out from IM Chattanooga, so I can't afford to get hurt

Good plan... I on the other hand plan on trying to put myself into the ground.  I figure what the heck, my IM Choo is major jeopardy anyway the least I can do is get some solid training in the last few weeks before I have to shut it down.

how did everyone do?

I stuck with my 4/2 run walk - had a goal time from my coach of 1:54 - and crossed in 1:48 - so very happy with that - knee felt good (been having a few issues on the bike - but none of the run) - and then went out and did another 6 miles for training

Didn't do too bad.  I stuck with my plan as well and came in at 1:11:01  had a shot at breaking 70 minutes if I didn't have to literally zig-zag through about 1000 people for the first 1.5 miles.  Even at that I still ran an 8:02 first mile, so it a bit tough getting time back.

Ha!  talk to me when I'm crawling across the line at IM Choo, due to my utterly pathetic lack of endurance training!

you'll probably still finish before me

seriously though - I have a couple more long rides coming up - 80 this weekend and 100 the weekend after - I typically ride at Quantico if you are interested (and can get access)

ehh... time, like age, is irrelevant.  I suspect both of us do this for the fun, fitness, and personal challenge.  To that extent finishing is all that really matters.

Thanks for the offer to ride, but I've gotta work this weekend, and I'm doing Nations Tri next weekend.  I hope to be able to get in another long ride on Monday Not sure I'll hit the triple digits, but if I can get another 80+ miler in I'll feel OK.

I'm curious about the 'don't increase your run by more than 10% per week' rule. Is there a minimum mileage under which this doesn't apply?

How should I go about training for the marathon while also building base in the other two events? Doing this seems like it's causing me to break the 10% rule in running.

Yes, the Dual is a little heavier than Cervèlo’s high end counterparts. But…the price is within reach of the masses and it still incorporates all of the design features that make a Cervèlo special.
