I'm not racing (because the race sold out before I tried to register) so I'll be a swim angel and after that just running around cheering everyone on.  If you all are meeting up tomorrow, I'll try to stop by the expo.  I obviously can't promise anyone anything, but if any of you see me on Sunday and I'm not someone's swim angel already, then I can try to be your swim angel if possible if anyone thinks they need one.  But I can't guarantee anyone anything (not that any of you should need a swim angel, I hope).

Good luck everyone!  Let me know your race numbers (you can either PM me or leave me an inspire if that makes you feel more comfortable) so I know who in particular to cheer for when you guys are out on the run.

We are there to encourage you guys through the swim, to help get you guys over your fear of the open water.  Usually there are those noddle things for you all to grab onto if you take a break- you are allowed to grab onto things like noddles, surfboards, buoys (though I don't recommend that one, especially for the buoys at turns as you may get swam over) etc so long as you don't make forward progress - this is a USAT rule.  For example last year, some woman in like the second wave swam back to the start area as she was ready to give up.  Sally Edwards and a swim angel came over to her, Sally talked to her and the swim angel went off next to that woman swimming by her side, encouraging her through the swim).  We are not there to save your lives if you get into trouble- that is what the lifeguards are for, but since there shouldn't be any waves, except maybe the slighest chop out in the water away from land, this shouldn't be an issue.

Subject: photos from the race
hi everyone! just wanted to let you all know that I've uploaded race day photos to my ofoto.com website. I can't guarantee that you'll be in the shots my hubby took, he was aiming at me and Carol, of course, but in case you are interested in seeing pictures, please send me your email address and I can send you an invitation to look at the album. wouldn't it be funny if you saw yourself in a random shot? I know, slim chance, but if anyone's like me, you are still on a high from the race and look for any excuse to talk about it or re-live it...
you can email me at [email protected] or PM me or whatever...
thanks!

Klynne and I are very much still on the high from the race.  That's all we talk about.  I'm sure that our families are sick of us!!  We're so hooked that we are doing another race on Oct 15.
