There is also an app called IMTrackr that seems to work well.

I didn't see Kirstin's AG and thought maybe there was an issue with your registration. Ha!

Yep, change 'em. But keep them for use on the trainer and keep your new tires for the road (if you can).

Do you mean that you're recommending I change the tire rubber whenever I switch from riding on the trainer to riding on the road?  That's a lot of work.

Yep, change out the tire. Unless you also have an extra rear rim. If you have that, set one up for trainer use and one up for road use.

I do the latter since I swap a lot. Cheapest thing you can find that isn't totally busted can work for this.

So interview in the press today said Crowie is deciding by the end of August whether to do Kona.

Spoke to Macca - he said Crowie is 100% there. Specialized building his bike now. He wishes him well. he's had more retirements than The Eagles.

(And since you will be, could ya push me up the hills?)

Can the races be watched online?  I'd love to tune in for a bit.

I think you might be able to access it on YouTube. I believe the men's starts in about 15 minutes.

Then get an inexpensive rear wheel and and cassette and swap wheels.

Cool!!  Um, well, maybe "cool" is the wrong word...  Anyway, that's pretty nifty.  Kind of like slow cooking on your car's engine block during cross-country trips.  Of course, in CO and WA, you can get "totally baked" much faster than in 6 hrs.

Find a mentor. Make a list of at least three people that you could approach for help, list your specific needs and then be courageous enough to begin asking.
