Nice job, Fred - that is a crazy-fast swim, at least for us normal, adult-onset swimming age group mortals. Here is to continued racing, completely unencumbered by the pressure we tend to put on ourselves if we aren't careful. This is going to be a good year!

Great way to start the season!  You are wicked quick, Fred and you look balance in all three disciplines.  Great job.

Wow - you're really hitting on all cylinders!  Really strong in all FOUR (yes, very nice transitions!) disciplines.

Fun to be back at the multi-sport?  From the results, it certainly seems like it!

Congrats and looking forward to seeing the season unfold for you.

Matt

My first triathlon was at age 56. At first I was just the cameraman at my daughter's first triathlon, then I am doing the races that she has done.

I looked at the swim buoys and start thinking, "Man! How am I ever going to swim that? That looks like a very long distance from the bridge. I have never done it in one go." There's no turning back.

After doing duathlons for the last couple of years, I decided to go for a triathlon. Starting with an Olympic-distance race perhaps wasn't wise, but it was fun (of a sort).
