Good Morning

Not sure What on tap for today yet depends on Mother Nature, wether I run outside or head over to the gym for TM intervals and strength training.
We have thunder storms continuously running thru about every hour and then the sun comes out then a storm rolls thru, very unsettled, depends on what it's like by lunch hour.

Have a great day all

About to do a rain dance here. Rainy season STILL not started! 45 minutes easy run this AM, totally soaked with sweat by end. Had to do about 90 minutes of reading assessments in the (un-AC) hall today with heat index of 107. (Kids only out there 10 minutes each.) Think I will bring some electrolyte drink tomorrow. Taking a week off from serious training to recover from race last weekend and get going on end of year assessments and report cards--my least favorite parts of the job!

Had a great run this morning. I was able to maintain a 8:30 pace for a moderately hilly 5 miles. Back in the beginning of April I had a hard time maintaining a 9:15 pace at for distances less than 4 miles.

Looking for ward to Fleet Feet pool tri training is tonight too.

The plan today is some speedwork in the pool during lunch.  Warmup and then 100's.  After work a 3.5 mile tempo run.

I can't imagine dealing with all the weather issues you guys are describing. I guess I take living in southern California for granted sometimes. Weather is the last thing I think of when planing my training. Actually, I never think about it 8-)

I am something!  I usually try to get to bed around 9pm. My household is pretty much settled by then during the work week--my two daughters' bedtime is 10pm so I actually go to sleep before them.  Hubby stays up a little later to watch TV.  It's what works for us!

Managed an easy 4 mile run in between the thunder boomers , feeling very warm though temperature was a very pleasant 70 degrees but the humidex was + 14 degrees higher at 86% humidity yech.

anyway got to run outside so that was a plus.

I'm just imagining your daughters tucking you in at 9 and reading you a bed time story before they stay up with Dad.

Getting up early & running at 5AM is going to be my new jam! I did 6.17 miles before the sun came up & felt great. Then I went for a quick 2000 yard swim at lunch. It sure as hell beats fighting the pool crowds in the AM & the heat at lunch to do it this way!

Busy day at work but I managed to get out of the office at little later than usual today and ran down through the Lagoon to Torrey Pines State Beach and up the hill (Torrey Pines Park Road) to the Broken Hill Trail and then ran down to Mussel Rock at Black's Beach. I ran on the beach back and stopped off at the South Beach Lot and jumped in the ocean for a quick swim to cool off before heading back up the hill to the office. (12 Mile Run, 1000 Meter Swim)

Ended up with a great bit of training on this awesome Spring Day. Did some good road work, a big (500 ft) hill and then some great trail work followed by some sand work. Days like today are why I became a Triathlete.

Happy Hump Day Everyone

Sadly you're not too far off!  Ha! They both make a nightly pilgrimage up to our room to say their goodnights!
