Subject: 2nd Annual Memorial Day Bike ride
In case anyone is interested, the Pickens County YMCA Race team will be hosting a bike ride out of downtown Pickens at Legacy Square next to McDonalds at 8am May 26th. The ride is 30 mile beginner friendly on mostly rural roads. It is completely free but expect to be self supported with no SAG support. There is no registration. You simply show up and ride. You are welcome to ride further or shorter. We do our best to stay together as a group with no drops but you are always welcome to speed ahead.

I am in the market for a new road bike, at several local bike stores I will test ride several bikes. Other than basic fit and components, how should I compare them while doing a test ride?

I own both a road bike and a tri bike. I am wondering which bike I should be riding during off season training, or does it matter?

Known for its brutal cadences, nasty sprints and 12-minute hills, the spin class seems to be the perfect substitute for a raunchy ride outside. But is it?
