Subject: Calf Strain
Has anyone had a calf strain and had their entire lower leg swell up? I feel like I strained my proximal calf and had some local swelling in the knee region. But this week was at a conference and with lots of walking around my entire lower leg swelled. How long has it taken for the swelling to go away?

Happens   Try some compression socks.

Calf pain can have multiple causes. In your case, the most likely cause seems to be from a calf muscle strain. If you have had Achilles problems you can be predisposed to a calf injury.
