Welcome back.

I just want to comment that part of the reason why I do all of this is because I want to feel great at 80. I don't want to be one of those decrepit old people who can barely get out of bed and get their shoes on. Every day at work I have the opportunity to see people like this and that is not how I want my future to be. Physical fitness, and feeling good at 40 (or 43) is a huge part of keeping that goal alive.

Congratulations on taking action now.

And again, welcome back

Agreed! As my 40th birthday looms on the horizon I'm in the best shape of my life, which isn't hard considering I didn't treat myself very well in my 20's and into my 30's. Triathlons and running helps keep me moving, which is the basis for the quote in my signature.

The first reason I joined was because my then husband was here and I wanted to be able to understand and do the things he was interested in.  I did a couple of tris but just wasn't that into it, but I made a lot of friends on here.  I kept running though and found that I really liked it but not really enough to stay disciplined.   Then I found out I was going to be a grandma!  I did not want to be the grandma that couldn't keep up with her grandchildren (mine were like that--and my kids grandparents too)!  MOTIVATION!

Glad to have you back!
