How is riding on Quincy these days? Busy traffic? Any shoulder? Haven't been there since 2006. the 5430 race in August is an out and back on Quincy, and I'd like to pre-ride the course sometime this summer.

I road parts of the Harvest Moon course last month and didn't have any major issues.  They have been working on Quincy and the shoulder is improved.  There has been increased truck traffic as there are a few projects going on; one in particular was on Bennett Rd.  I did ride during the week and during the middle of the day though...

Hey,

You should let me know when you are riding it and I may join you.

Ride it pretty often.  Not bad at all.

Rode the route for the YOLO sprint on Sunday mid-morning.  Traffic wasn't too bad, shoulder on Quincy is a little iffy at times.  Sometimes there's plenty of room to ride 2 wide, sometimes have to go into the car lane to avoid crumbling shoulder or sandy/rocky spots.  I never had to stop to avoid traffic except when turning left off Quincy back into the reservoir entrance.  There wasn't any construction/construction traffic in the area I rode.

Over this next month I will be learning more about my bike each time I take it out to ride. I want to take full advantage of what it has to offer.
