Learned my lesson about ordering UA compression, size 2XL might of fit me in 5th grade.

I want something I can swim in and then leave on the rest of the race that of course fits. I have an athletic build but a very large athletic build

Thanks!

Tri jerseys work wonders... don't slow you down during the swim, dry fast on the bike, and you can unzip them for cooling purposes on the run.

Do you happen to have one you recommend? So many different choices and it seems like some say "whatever" but in reality they are just bike jerseys

It honestly comes down to personal preference. I have a Castell and a 2XU that have a compression-type fit and a Louis Garneau that has a more relaxed fit that is more of mesh-like material.

I always wear tech T's training - and I go shirtless in the water.

Ive only raced once and I wore a tri top - skin tight! Felt odd, but worked.
(wasn't compression though.)..

Yeah Im bigger and as a big guy I have a fairly good big guy build.

(everyone who saw my tri pics said I looked like a monster).
But that's probably because the folks I did the race with are much smaller than me.

I am still having problems A. Finding what I want (the entire race) and then B. finding one that will fit me (I have a 49 in chest)

If anyone has a suggestion of something that will work for all of this please let me know

I got a very thin very stretchy Nike top from Hibbets. It works perfectly.

My favorite tri top is my zocagear tri top from my TriClub. XXL plenty of room.

I double layer. I have an old stained sleeveless Champion wicking shirt. At the moment, I wear a Methodist/LeBonheur t-shirt since I'm on a "team". At 5'9" 260 (at the time) I was over all the size options NimbleWear gave us for team gear. Maybe next year.

I wear my one piece tri suit for the swim (haven't raced any races were a wet suit was needed). I usually throw on a T-shirt or quick dry type shirt for the bike and run. Mind you I haven't done anything longer than a sprint yet.

I wear a compression shirt in the swim and when I get to T1 I throw on either a bike shirt or just a shirt from a previous event if it is a short race where i do not a pocket in my shirt

I have a zoot 2xl top and 2xl shorts. I used to have 2xu but being 6'6" and 330 lbs and having a big belly it became something Britney spears used to wear (need to update my references I know).

I have no idea my dimensions though. Maybe I can measure myself this weekend.

I had similar problems with 2XU tops.  I have a 46" chest and could barely squeeze into a XXL top.  When I unzipped it the zipper would pull apart at the bottom.  Just too tight.

I'm currently wearing a Louis Garneau top and that works pretty well.  Our club's kit is made by Hawk and their XXL fits me pretty well also, plus I was able to get a 'long' which fits my torso better.

One more thing:  See if you can step into your top and pull it up over your shoulders rather than by pulling it on over your head and shoulders.  That makes it a lot easier if you have a large chest & shoulders.

My foot is now in a tremendous amount of pain, it is swollen, and I can barely walk on it at all, it hurts so much. I am still putting the gel on, taking anti inflammatories, and icing. Help!

I sometimes have severe pains on the top of my left foot. It feels like a knife is stabbing my inner foot on the outer portion of my foot. These pains happen mainly at night but not while riding.

How often should you have a bike tune up and what should be included? Is it unreasonable to expect a refitting as part of the tune up?

I quickly browsed an article in Men's Health that talked about doing a triathlon, and how it wasn't really that hard. With a "tsk!" I quickly turned the page while thinking, "Yeah, right!"
