Comments:

run went welll. I had no real time goals, other than to finish. Felt great thru the first 10 miles. Hit the half point in 1:46 even. Made it up the big hill at mile 18, but coming back down, I could feel things tightening up. I made it half way back up the hill at mile 20, but it was a struggle the rest of the way in. I walk/ran the final 10K. Never pushed it too hard, but I was beat by the end.
What would you do differently?:

nothing
Post race
Warm down:

sat around at the finish for a few minutes stretching, then back to the hotel to shower

What limited your ability to perform faster:

very little running over the last month

Event comments:

Good smaller race. Limited expo and swag. Post race activities were nonexistent.
There were 3 coolers and cups out, and we had to get our own water. There was a tub of bananas, oranges, and a plate of cookies. That's it. Other than that, it was a good race.

I signed up for Ironman Frankfurt, next year July - and I am very excited about it. I originally planned to run my first Marathon in the middle of September, but am not sure if this is wise.
