Subject: Hawaii vacation
Hello,

Just wondering if there's any groups I can join for a swim, bike or run while I'm in Hawaii.

I'll be in Oahu, Maui, and Hawaii.for 4 days each I'll be renting a bike.

Also would appreciate any advice for family friendly rides with a 10 and 14 year old either on trails or scenic roads.

Thanks,
Phil

If you are on the windward side (Kailua)...our group has drop-ins for most of the days.
Camp Bennett campbennett.com

right now our schedule is:
M - beach core & swim 6am
Tu - swim 5:30pm
W - Mountain Bike 5pm
Th - Road Bike 5:30pm
F - beach core 6am
Su - beach run, swim 7am

There are other groups in Honolulu, such as BOCA, Team Jet, and others that may support drop-ins

Does it matter how fast you go? Does it matter if you win? No. It only matters that you tri your best and smile when you cross the finish line.

I can't say it enough, the feeling of treading water for that final minute, helicopters over head, Mike Riley's Iron-voice over the P.A. - just awesome. I cannot believe I'm here!

Well the day is finally here. I don't believe a single workout has gone by in these past 9 years where the idea of being at the start line of the Ironman Hawaii didn't creep into my head.

So far the taper is feeling good and I'm getting that itchy feeling to race. I know this will grow even stronger when I get to the island and see my friends and PBN Team members.

Definitely glad this weekend is out of the way as 145 miles of cycling and 27 miles of running in two days is a fair amount.
