My Son and Daughter,

He's 11 and this is his third season, My daughter is 6 and this morning completed Tri #1 and she loved it!!  Very happy family of Tri'ers although hearing what Left Brains' budget is for his family racing yearly I may have to limit them to running :-

This is the best triathlon result for those of us with families!

This mirrors my family as I have an 11 year old boy(3rd year as well) and 7 yr old girl(just turned yesterday/second triathlon) racing tomorrow! Mom and dad race Sunday!

I like the look on your daughter's face. It looks like "heck yeah. I did it!"

Saw this over the weekend but was in Des Moines watching my kids race as well.  So cool, Dewey.....keep it fun!!  If they really love triathlon get them on a swim club if they aren't already...oh wait, just saw your daughters t-shirt.  Nice!    It's amazing how fast kids are getting.....and it's just starting.

Thanks LB,

Yeah, they are both in the summer swim team, my son for the summer fitness as he plays Soccer in Spring/Fall but my daughter as she loves it, she's doing year round swim team and is just exited to go to the pool every time.

Currently training 5 hours a week with two meets (Wednesday and Saturday) in the off season she'll be three hours a week with a meet once a month.  she just loves the water!

Really enjoy the swim meets, but watching them race the Tri was just that little bit extra special :-)
