Good morning BT Peeps!  I've been MIA for a few days--in between traveling up to BC to see family and my daughter's foot surgery (Lapidus Bunionectomy) yesterday, triathlon has been at the bottom of the list!  BUT...things have settled and this body has got to get moving!  Plus my clothes are getting too tight!

Heading out on the mountain bike for a long ride, can't wait.

Good luck to all  you racers today!

Have a great day, BT!

Morning! Good to see you back Kim! Hope you are having a great vacay!

Plan is a 1.5 hr. trainer ride with some intervals. I taught 6 tough cycle classes this week, so we will see how the legs respond this morning.

2 mile run after.

Supposed to be 110 degrees here today with humidity (ick) so spending some time with the kids in the pool and probably go see a movie! The worst months in AZ are probably July and August!

Good luck to all racers and have a great day!

I've missed these positive threads, I need to post in them more.
Thanks for keeping them running.

I plan to head to the gym for a back/tricep workout...and then a short run. Really hot though lately, running has been tough!

8 mile bike @ 18 mph on my brand new road bike! Was tough because it stormed like crazy and the bike path was covered in water at some points. I wanted 12 miles but ended up turning back early. Still freaking loved it though. Makes my mountain bike look like a chump.

I think I need to be more positive. So threads like this are a great bonus. Haven't been able to do much today as I'm looking after the foster children with my wife at work.

Definitely super. 2:10 run on my all-time favorite running route, Tantalus in Honolulu. Felt really good the whole way, even the hour of continuous uphill! PM about 20 minutes of easy swimming at Ala Moana Beach Park.

Do we really need chia, spelt, and quinoa? Is anything wrong with old-fashioned peanut butter, broccoli and brown rice?

We have new 10 and 20 week training plans for the New Year! These mini sprint plans are very conservative and will get any person thinking of training for a triathlon ready to cross the finish-line.

Cotswold super sprint - UK. Lots of bodies colliding, I swam half over someone, got kicked by some bloody breaststroker, and as a mob we poured towards the first buoy.

Already a cyclist and not a bad swimmer, I figured all I had to do was build up to running a few miles and I’d be ready to go. The challenge invigorated me, and I ran out to buy new running shoes.

Since I didn't have much time and since it's a super sprint, am I OK just go to at the training relatively hard through Thursday or even Friday?
