Not enough chat in here fellow Hoosiers! What do you have going on? Tri Indy is around the corner, nice super fast course, any takers? I'm staying up north for a couple early August sprints in La Porte and Michigan City before Chicago on the 24th.

you're right about there not being any chat here, I was wondering if there were any triathletes left! I have Syracuse and Missisenewa coming up. Would love to do Lake Max in Culver but it's the same day as Syracuse. Did Lake Max a few years back and it was an excellent event.

It's actually kind of sad how little this forum is used. I used to live in Georgia, and their state page has multiple posts daily.

For me, I have no races planned. I might sign up for Gary's Ride on August 16th in Plainfield, IN. Different route options up to 100 miles. Graysride.com

So far I've done Toughman Richmond and Muncie 70.3. I might do one more triathlon (sprint) to finish out my triathlon season. Right now, I'm training for the Monumental Marathon, so I'm focusing on running. Hope to see some more activity on this forum. I do enjoy coming to this sight to get insight inspiration. This is a fun sport and I hope to do this for many years.

I was at Toughman as well. I still have nightmares about that hill. I've done the Monumental for two years running now. I'd like to do a third, but its such a crappy date. I'd have to travel on Halloween and miss out on trick or treating with the kids (assuming they stay behind at home) or taking them with me and then they'll miss out on Halloween all together.

If your looking for a good bike ride, there is a Gran Fondo out of Carmel in September that I'm thinking about as well.

Well, Tri-Indy is Sunday I'm doing the OLY. Saturday August 9th I'm doing Michigan City Sprint. Saturday August 16th is Noblesville Fit Fest and another sprint I'm doing. Not sure what I was thinking about racing 3 times in 13 days? My final race of the season will be Rev3 70.3 on September 7th at Cedar Point. I will have done 7 races this summer, which is about right for me. End of September there is a cystic fibrosis fundraiser ride up at Morse, which I will do and there is the hilly hundred, which I might do. I'm interested in the Gran Fondo and maybe the Lawrence Sprint in mid-September.

Tri Indy is a fun race, but couldn't pass up on La Porte given its only 20 minutes away. I'll be at Michigan City as well. Never done it before even though its close to home. 3 times in 13 days? Nah, sounds just right to me.

Tri-Indy was a good race for me, haven't done it in 3 years, 8 minutes faster on the OLY than my last time there, I'm happy. Maybe I'll see you at Michigan City this weekend. Its a weird sprint with a 800m swim and the lake was a little rough last year, but I enjoyed it.

Looking forward to it. I'll be riding a red Trek Equinox, Zipp 101's w/ a disc cover. Red tri suit. I should stick out at a local race. I haven't done this one yet even though its only 20 minutes from my house but it looks like a silly fast bike?

Glad you had a good time at Tri Indy, its a great course.

Was pretty fast last year, if the wind stays down in the morning. I'll be in a white top/black shorts with a Lime Green QR cd0.1, 1080 front/rear disc, can't miss me.

Just entry and exit, maybe 50 feet each way.

Sorry, didn't stick around for long afterwards, the kids were with me and they wanted to go to the splash pad and the zoo. Wow, that was a swim. When I got out of the water I thought I had lost the race and then my wife told me I was the second one out, so everyone else was hurting too. The first guy out was a college swimmer and a relay guy, so I actually lead the AG race wire to wire. Unfortunately, a couple older guys chip timed me in the end. But I had a lot of fun, never raced on the front before. It was pretty cool.

I was toward the front of the group for 40+ wave, but didn't know until the end that I led my age group the whole way. Pretty happy, faster than last year, but not the time I had hoped. I didn't mind the swim and knew everyone would be slower based on my experience the year before. Racing in Noblesville this weekend, but the competition will be much much higher. Have a couple weeks until Rev3 at Cedar Point then for the last race of the season.

I've got Rev3 Cedar Point on the radar for some point in the future. This year, I'll end the tri season in Chicago on the 24th. After that, I'll probably go straight into running for the balance of the year. Still thinking of coming down to Carmel in September for that Gran Fondo. Haven't decided yet.

Cool to see some activity here! All I have in August is Fox Island next Sunday (local to me). I'm doing Tri Lakes (my first Olympic) in Columbia City in Sept, and will be doing a HM this fall but haven't picked it yet. Fort 4 Fitness is a top contender, but it's my son's birthday weekend and we may have family in town.

I would like to come out to Fox Lake, it's not beyond an early morning drive, I could probably make Fort Wayne in an hour forty-five. But, the rest of the state being in a different time zone really makes that impossible. Sigh, life was much easier when we were on the same time zone during the summer.

Lots of good half marathons in the fall. Not sure what is out in Fort Wayne, but there are a couple good ones in Indy in October and November.

The Grand Fondo is in the back of my head, however, its only a week after Rev3 and not sure how I'll feel.
