Subject: Hello all I started triathlon about a year ago while looking to find something new to challenge myself.
Boy, did I find it!
I completed 3 sprint tri's in 2013 and while I have only registered for 2 races this year. I am going big.
Ironman 70.3 Augusta being my A race. and The Rocketman Tri at the Space Coast. Mind you these are 2 weeks apart. Piece of cake!
I have come a long way over this past year, picking up a lot of tips along the way.
My main motivation is just to be a healthier me and I find that I am loving the multisport lifestyle.
Never in my life did I think I would spend 8-10 hours a week training for a race that was so far away. Only about 65 days now.
Suffered some injuries along the way but I am feeling more ready each day.
One thing I am finding is that I am gaining weight, likely muscle due to the training but how can I prevent further gains?
I am aleady a Clydesdale and do not need to be heavier.
