Good morning BT!

7:00am:  3 miles with my CC kids.  So proud of my summer runners--I know it's not easy for them to get up so early to come run! They're doing so great.

Later:  Not sure--either out on the mountain bike or some speed work on the TM.  Outside sounds better!  This is the beauty of not being on a training schedule now, I can do whatever sounds the best!  :-)

Have a great day!

Tonight going to do a swim at the new gym also, cant wait they have a 25m pool vs the old gyms 15m pool. Its going to be nice.

Heading out for an easy 45-50 minute run, since it's supposed to get really hot here today, then master's swim later. Not sure what I'm training for, or what, in fact, is the purpose of training in my case, since it seems to have zero impact on my race performance, but whatever. It seems a crime not to run on a beautiful day in the "running capital of the world", and I pre-paid for master's swimming, so might as well get my $ worth!

8:45 am 5.5 mile run heat torture! Heat index was already at 90* at 8:30 with next to no breeze and not a cloud in the sky.  Dropped the dog back off at home after 3.4 and went back out to finish it up.

2 mile interval run this morning. Did my longest continuous run since last year at .85 miles (had medical issues last year).
Great swim tonight. Only 700m but I did my longest continuous (300m) to date. Swimming seemed to suffer the least from last year.

Anyway, doing something light tomorrow and Friday cuz I'm tri'ing on Saturday. Only my second ever and the first was 3 years ago. Kinda highlighting my recovery, I hope.

Update.  Happy with my 3.5mi race.  Took 13 seconds off my time from last week, and crossed the 5K mark (they put a line on the ground), in 19:55.  Sub-20 Baby!

also a few miles of warmup and cool down before and after.  So, that's 16 miles for the day.  Feelin' good.

thanks.  notice- no bike or swim this year.  Focussed on the running, so that makes it a bit easier. I'd hate to see my bike or swim speeds these days.  ugh.
