They don't even let people up on the bridge anymore because it's so dangerous. It's almost 400' high and no rails!

Voted for you.  Good luck!  Pretty sweet prizes if you win.

ETA:  Hope you're feeling better today!

Doesn't seem quite fair. Although the adult version might be gold teeth?

Afternoon ( morning?, evening?) all! I am about to leave for St. Augustine to attend a seminar. Hotel is right in the heart of the old city. Sometimes my job is hard!! I'd really be looking forward to it if I were able to run. Stupid Achilles

. I don't know how much I'll be able to check in - although I will probably be so bored during the lectures I'll live here!, so here's an early GO manatees to whomever is racing this weekend.

Just watched the run course video for RnR Denver (again). Getting pretty excited about it. I think it encompasses part of both the Broncos 7k route that I did with DS2 and Mary, and the Runnin of the Green route that I did with DS1, DS2 and SIL. Kinda like a year-end review

And this time you'll be faster and have no gastro issues.  You get to redo and rock it at the same time.  How fun is that?!  Send me a PM to Let me know where you want me on the course so I can hoot, holler, and give you more cowbell.

Really not fair.  You're having to pay instead of getting paid.  Maybe that's all part of the Tooth Fairy's business plan?

Seriously not fair, right? I talked about it with my sister (who was my tooth fairy intermediary back in the day) and she said no teeth no money. What?!

Well, seems that I started a Manatees breaking teeth trend :/ But, yes, what TJ linked. Downhill section...over bars and into the rocks...face first. A root canal and crowns on both front teeth.

Well I'm starting to pin down all the thoughts rattling around in my head. I'm thinking *gulp* of using the Colorado Marathon in May to attempt to BQ.

I'll probably use the Jack Daniel's plan to prepare (you know, share Ryan Hall's coach ). He has a 24 week that I could start in a few weeks. Then I'll just throw in a S/B every week with some core/strength and voila I'm up and training again

I asked a friend about the Colorado Marathon, he and his wife have done the half. He said it's pricey but he liked it. Ironically the price went up today

Now I just watch the news to see what the B.A.A. decides to do

I thought you were supposed to train at high altitude and race at low altitude

I've seen train low, recover high more often. Then race, wherever, I guess.

ETA: And TJ, have you looked over the plan in more detail? I haven't looked too close as I'm not going for a marathon, but do remember the level of runners he'll work with at time. It could be really good, but make sure you'll be ok with it and that you'll be able to adapt things to you.

And you'll recover from the RnR when?   Poudre Canyon is gorgeous and what better course to BQ on than an mostly-downhill one!  GOOOO TJ!!

ETA:  Hey, you're copying my plan:  train for a run, play on the bike and in the pool.  Or will you still work with the cycling studio during the winter?

My office is at 7,200 ft, I live at about 5300 and can run either place so I'm not concerned about the altitude.

As for JD's plan. I have it on my phone in tiny little print so I'll look at the Marathon plan on DS2's book when I get home. Another option is the Marathon plan here on BT which is... 20 weeks I think.

I was thinking of asking the bike guru there if he thinks my one bike a week would be beneficial there.

reco-what? Actually the JD plan wouldn't start till November.

Find a mentor. Make a list of at least three people that you could approach for help, list your specific needs and then be courageous enough to begin asking.
