We were able to hear both TeeJay and Jens' interviews which was cool. I told Jens my shut up legs shirt is on its way from Germany and he told me be patient it has to go through customs . I asked if he'd come back to the US and he said he hoped so. Sounds like he wants to stay involved with the Trek Racing team. Oh and we gathered up discarded bottles too

Cool pictures and it sounds like you're having tons of fun.  Hope you're staying dry.  It's so cool that you got to talk with Jens!!

Last year, I really wanted a Jelly Belly bottle and a Cannondale t-shirt autographed by Ted King.  DH was only able to score me a chocolate milk and a shirt signed by Peter Sagan.  (Sigh.)   I'm really bummed that I'm going to miss it this year.  The year George Hincapie retired was so cool because on the last day, you could tell where he was on the route by the cheering.

It's really too bad that the Pro Challenge conflicts with the Vuelta; that really limits the big teams' participation.  On the plus side, it gives the smaller teams a chance to ride with the "big boys" and get some broader exposure.

We've had more big names in the past. I think this year the Vuelta is a re-match of sorts for France because of the major upsets.

That looks so lovely and peaceful.  How did you not just swim out to the boat and climb aboard to sail away for a day or two?

because the water in Esperance is FRICKIN FREEZING in the middle of summer it might get to 60* in the middle of winter (as it is here) it would be more like 45-50* so no swimming today

There is an Antarctic current going right at this area, so yeah, it's gonna be cold.

Interestingly we are there that weekend. DS2 and I are doing a Donut Dash on Saturday and were looking at TT for Sunday but opted to leave for Denver after the Dash. Sooooooo I sent it to DS2 and will let you know!

Looks like DS2 and I are gonna do it. Waiting to hear from DS1 and SIL. DH says no, too big a crowd. DS2 and I are joking about what name to put on our bib. He said Obi wan Kenobi, I said Ihenacho.

Cool!!  I'll see if DH wants to do it too.  He might not - he hasn't been running much these days.  Maybe we can arrange for the DH's to meet us at the finish with chocolate milk.  In line with your Donut Dash, we could go to Lucile's and have beignets.  Or Voodoo Donuts, although I'm not all that keen on waiting for 45 min. just to get in the door.

Find a mentor. Make a list of at least three people that you could approach for help, list your specific needs and then be courageous enough to begin asking.
