Who's in? I had to drop out and my training partner DNF'd so we are coming back to claim what's ours! I am terrified of the hills and from what I heard, with good reason. I will train harder than any year or race before! Anyone else gonna join us?

I am in and very excited! Glad I live in the area for easy training on the course. Finished this race in 2013 and looking forward to a great race!

Count me in for 2015!  I'm already getting excited and it is 11 months away.

I'm in, just signed up today. I was in Spokane for work so I rented a car and drove to CDA. Ran 1 loop on the run and swam for 30 min. It was over 100 degrees so the run was a little slow, hills not too bad on the run, hopefully I can ride the bike course sometime before the race. Living in VA, I don't get out to CDA too often. I made reservations at the HI express, anyone know if parking on race morning is doable, I'm traveling solo for this race.

I'm from VA too -- though further north in Alexandria -- and traveling solo.  I have a reservation at the Hampton Inn.  The hotel people tell me it is a 10-15 minute walk to the park/transition area.  Can any of the locals confirm this distance?

I would think longer, probably more like 30 minutes walking.

You are about 1.7 miles from transition, I did a dry run from the Holiday Inn Exp and it was a 35 min walk a long the centennial trail. I will have a rental car so either driving race morning or if the HI does a shuttle like this year I'll use that. Getting ready for IM Choo in Sep, crazy already planning for 2015!

I'm leaning towards it, but haven't pulled the trigger yet.  I did it in 2013 - my first one and it was amazing!  I've taken a break this summer... it's been nice to not have a training plan hanging over my head for a while - just a few sprints and half-marathons.

Glad to see a 2015 thread is started, it helps to rebuild the fire!

Don't hold me to this but, I believe this year it didn't actually sell out. I know when I checked in late May there were regular slots available still. Not sure if this makes a difference either but, I know a lot of people that skipped this year that are doing it next year, myself included.

Pretty sure it sold out in the last three or four weeks in 2014.  I think it sold out sometime in January in 2013.  It used to sell out around September or October, but since they started IM Tahoe, a lot of the Southwest folks have opted for that.

I read on another site that it did indeed sell out last year--twice! It was reopened when the deferment policy left available slots.

I signed up for this race. I am travelling solo from Winnipeg, Manitoba. I am signed up for IM Muskoka and Couer d'Alene in 2015. They will be IMs number 4 and 5 for me. I have done Wisconsin, Whistler, and Lake Tahoe previously. Being from the prairies I like my mountainous Ironmans.

I know it's early but, 2 years ago a group of us locals did a driving tour of the bike course with out of towners, I would be up for doing that again for anyone that would like a guided tour.

That is extremely generous.  I for one would be willing to buy a post-race refreshment for my pre-race tour guide!

I'm in! This will be #9 on my journey to 12 to get into Kona through the Legacy Lottery. I did this back in '12 and was a little surprised by a couple of the hills but will be ready for them this time!

I am leaning towards this race as my first full next year, I've considered others from Louisville to Boulder keep circling back to this race.

Planning on signing up for 2015...just have to pay off my last adventure. I am hoping it won't sell out before I can register.

Great to see the thread up and going already!  I won't be racing this year (or any year for that matter anymore, due to a balky knee) but will be lurking around and willing to help out of towners.  The bike course tour is always a good time and I'll be in for 2015 again for sure.  And as always, there will be some *ahem*, special beverages, in the medical tent for any of my BT friends who want them after the race.  Safe training to all!

Hey Mark, it was good to see and catch up with you too.  Best of luck with your training!  Next spring we'll have to get out on some rides together.
