Total Time = 1h 07m 22s
Overall Rank = 101/153

Age Group Rank = 2/7
Event warmup:

This summer the water has always been cooler than I expected at these races. Oh well, I'm going sans wetsuit more for the experience. Worked from home so got to pack up and leave at my leisure instead of running around like a nut after work.
Swim
  • 10m 45s
  • 400 yards
  • 02m 41s / 100 yards
Comments:

I felt I swam pretty good (for me). I'm definitely comfortable in the water these days. I just go out and do my thing and stay out of the fray and not worry about the fact that I'm 6/7 in my AG for swim :)
Transition 1
  • 00m 58s
Bike
  • 25m 7s
  • 4.85 miles
  • 11.59 mile/hr
Comments:

It's getting frustrating that I can't seem to break the 25 minute mark......although when you think about it..... this is my course PR and I did just do an international tri on Sunday.....hhhmmmm next week is my last chance this season to break the barrier!
Transition 2
  • 00m 46s
Comments:

I sat there for an extra 10 seconds or so debating on taking water with me on the run LOL. I decided not to and it was the first time I've ever run WATERLESS. I knew it was a short course and now was the time to try it. It ended up being ok but for longer runs I'm definitely sticking to carrying water for now.......
Run
  • 29m 43s
  • 3.1 miles
  • 09m 35s  min/mile
Comments:

NO BEAR this week! And yet, PR for me for the run! YAY! :)
Post race
Warm down:

Weeknight means pack up and get home to have dinner!

Event comments:

One more to go this season!!

No bear this week?!  I guess I missed the report with the bear in it!  Yeah, cut yourself a break about the 25 minute barrier.  Next week fo' sho' you'll beat it!  Nice work out there!

YEP! Race #7 I saw a bear on the side of the trail. If you look at my GPS data you can see where I saw him! My pace shot up to about 7mm!

I own both a road bike and a tri bike. I am wondering which bike I should be riding during off season training, or does it matter?
