Race reports will be expected? Everything I'm reading...it sounds like it's going to be an extremely fast field.

I can't understand that seat, man....but it must work for you. I thought you were on a Sitero?

I get pretty low up front and any other angle feels like a torture machine to the crotch. It works for me somehow.

2:07 and 31st in AG after knocking 2 min off of last year. Ugh. But, after doing the age up math I am still in the running for a roll down on the US team at about 30th. There were a ton of penalties ( not me, I think) so things might change a bit. Should know penalties in a half hour or so. Now . . . BEER!

Thanks.  I looked again I went 2:10 last year which had a much shorter run from the water to T1, so I knocked about 3 minutes off of last year's time.  My 2:07 this year with a 30 second shorter T1 would have put me about 16th last year.  Good enough for the US Team.  Not this year --- yet.  Still in the running and waiting to see the final "Age Up" list for M40-44.  I think I will land about 30th after age ups and penalties are factored in.  Only need 5 people to say they don't want the spot or otherwise failed to lock in their spot at the awards ceremony last night.  Should know in the next few weeks, which will absolutely ktest my patience.

I heard today it's back in Milwaukee next year. Great race, I'll be back next year, even if I have to qualify at the regional.

I assume regionals will be at Omaha again next year...and if it falls on the same date (again) at KS 5150, I'll do Omaha for sure. The guys that do the Omaha Tri really put forth an effort to do a nice event.

I got a new pair of the same size / brand of shoes and started running on them. On my left foot, the toe next to the big toe starts to get a little painful and goes numb after the first 1-3 miles.

Don’t forget this is an incredibly big year for sport with the Olympics back in Athens where the modern Olympics started, and especially triathlon to make its second appearance.
