Comments: The best part of this race was that I had fun. The weather as perfect (cool, overcast and a slight tail breaze), I felt great, and I had the IPod going. I beat my Steamboat time by almost 11:00 minutes. The negative was couldn't maintain a steady pace and lost time every mile. My first mile was 8:00 minutes and I lost about 10 to 15 seconds off my pace every mile. By miles 11 and 12 I was at a 10:00 shuffle. The traffic on I-70 honking at first was inspiring, then got annoying. IPod issuses between miles 4 and 5 cost me a few seconds. What would you do differently?: I dont' know. I need a coach. Post race
Warm down: Hung out at the Post Race Area (Idaho Springs football field) with Greg, Anne and Joe. Drank O'Douls. What limited your ability to perform faster: My legs. Lungs were OK. Last updated: 2006-08-15 12:00 AM
