Subject: Hey new guy here
So, I just ran my first tri up in Bemidji, MN in the Paul Bunyun Tri this July and had a blast! I came in dead last in everything, but still proud to have done it....
About me:
I am a cardiac surgery/transplant ICU nurse in Rochester, MN
Navy Vet
Recently divorced (which is why I started training for Tri's)
Needed to get back into shape, and thought this was the best way to challenge myself and to get healthy again

Nothing wrong with dead last.  You finished and are healthier for it - which is what counts.  So what are your plans going forward?  Are you going to continue the training over fall and winter?

I didn’t used to like to run slow. You begin to recalibrate your needs and wants and if-only you could jog an easy two miles, three times per week. Running is a gift.

He looked at us and flat out told us that he wouldn't accept any of us as his students at a technical diving level with the poor level of physical fitness we had.
