Winding Trails
70F / 21C
Overcast
Total Time = 1h 07m 15s
Overall Rank = 100/152
Age Group = f4044
Age Group Rank = 3/9
Event warmup:

So glad this is the last of the series - it was fun but I'm burnt out!!
Swim
  • 10m 25s
  • 400 yards
  • 02m 36s / 100 yards
Comments:

Went with the wetsuit this time - the water was actually warmer than the air (so ODD for August) but not too warm. On a short course I feel like whatever time I gain using the suit I lose taking it off. Meh.
Transition 1
  • 01m 3s
Comments:

I actually had the 3rd fastest T1 time in AG which is odd because I feel like I take my time.
Bike
  • 25m 12s
  • 4.8 miles
  • 11.43 mile/hr
Comments:

I wanted to break 25 minutes but I guess it wasn't meant to be this year. The course was very sandy and there were lots of sections that slowed me down.
Transition 2
  • 00m 42s
Run
  • 29m 51s
  • 3.1 miles
  • 09m 38s  min/mile
Comments:

A good run for me - no complaints.
Post race
Event comments:

A fun season. Out of 10 races, I participated in 9 total - 4 relays and 5 solo. It's a point series so had I done all 9 solo, I most likely would have won my AG. Oh well. woulda, coulda, shoulda ;)

SOOOO close to that 25 min mark!  Not sure that taking off the wetsuit slowed you down all that much, given your T1 time.  You've done a great job in this series, Randee!!

Nice race, Randee!  And yeah, 12 seconds off your goal of getting sub 25 on the bike...well, there's your goal for next year!  Congrats on the 3/9 AG ranking!

I own both a road bike and a tri bike. I am wondering which bike I should be riding during off season training, or does it matter?

Yes, the Dual is a little heavier than Cervèlo’s high end counterparts. But…the price is within reach of the masses and it still incorporates all of the design features that make a Cervèlo special.
