I know a couple of the girls on the tri team I help coach are doing the Olympic -- their first Oly distance. Look for the RockSteady kids.

Have fun out there....I did the sprint (as a relay-I swam and biked) earlier this season.  There's one crazy hill on the bike, you sort of go around a corner, and boom, there it is--shift to low gear asap!  I didn't do the run but I heard it is hilly.  Have fun, good group of people putting it on.  The lake was lovely.

I had to withdraw from this event, unfortunately. Having gut issues for the last two years that I've been working through. Some days were OK, others were very bad. Impacted my activities that my preparation this year as been very sporadic. It reached a VERY bad state a week before this event, so I contacted Kathy Morrison to cancel. Until further notice, I have to suspend all physical activity because it makes my gut issues worse. Have to go back to other doctors and research to get to the bottom of this. It's also impacted my work, so I have to take a leave of absence until further notice. Wished I could have been there will all of you.

The triathlon made a lot of sense as I could fit the training around early mornings and other times that wouldn't eat too much into my family time. Things never go completely to plan do they?

I am running Boston in April and Ironman Lake Placid is in July. I have been told that it is ambitious to think about doing an IM so close to a marathon due to the recovery time. Any suggestions?
