Finished 2014 also but I won't be coming back to race in 2015. I might be coming back into town to volunteer though, depends if some buddies in the Tri Club are signing up for IMMT 2015. Either way, have a great race Fred and to all doing the race...It's an amazing venue with amazing support, you will not be dissapointed.

I did the full Aqua Velo at Challenge AC this year at the end of June and felt it was a perfect tune up. If its still an option in 2015, might be worth looking into. Was $300 and hotels in AC are cheap and all over the place. Also, REV 3 Williamsburg is in your neck of the woods towards the middle/end of June which could work for you.

Williamsburg might be an option, though I did the oly in its first year and it was the most horribly executed race I've ever done. Will have to read race reports from this year to see if Rev3 has worked out the logistics. I'll check in on the full aquabike at AC, good suggestion. I did Eagleman this year but didn't enjoy it at all, and I'd rather do a hilly tune-up for IMMT.

I have family in AC so had a free place to stay.

For Tremblant I would recommend staying in the Village if you can swing it, if not I stayed at Tremblant Les-Euax Condos which are less then a mile away and very reasonably priced with awesome views and free parking.

ahh you're very lucky!
I love that race! I wish I could come back next year.

I booked a condo hotel de voyageur or something. Right beside the finish line!

I'll echo the recommendation to stay in the village.

We stayed at the Kandahar in 2013 and Les Tours des Voyaguers in 2014. We plan to book back into the Kandahar in 2015. We got a condo style room each time - more expensive, but we saved a ton by eating most/all our meals at home - plus then I control what I eat pre race!

It's not particularly cheap, but much more convenient than dealing with parking, etc. on race day, plus it's super cool to be so close to the finish line!

do it do it do it!

We booked a condo in the Sommet des Neiges at the top of the pedestrian village for next year. I'll be glad to have the full kitchen. The restaurants in the pedestrian village are way more expensive than they're worth.

Bruce wants to tackle IMMT next year before we try something new (probably Whistler in 2016); because I had such a good race this year and I love the course, I'm happy to go again.

A friend of our did Whistler and loved it, but I've heard it's a much tougher bike course - another year to improve my biking would be a good thing before tackling it!

Sounds like you had a good race too - congrats!

Wish I could guys....Promised the wife I would not sign up for a IM or 70.3 this year. We got married in September last year so I feel a little guilty because it felt like the first year of our marriage I turned her into a Triathlon Widow. Just going to focus on improving my Olympic distance and Half Marathon distance times.

Maybe 2016......

Just signed up for 2015. Can't believe it stayed open so long. Couldn't resist. What a great race. Doing it much more low key this year with lower training volume.

Fred, you need to change the thread title.  Ironman Texas is the NA Championship next year.
