Anyone out in BT land doing the square lake Tri?

After years if sprint distance races, I decided to do the long course.. Because, "why not?"

I've done sq lake long the last 3 years. It is a fun race. Weather can vary widely. I wish I was in shape for it again this year

I'll be swimming as part of a relay on the long course. I'm trying to get a friend into multi-sport and getting him to do the bike leg of a relay is the first step

I am 'only' doing the short course. I did it last year as a last minute race because I didn't know what to do with myself after my supposed last race of the year (Maple Grove). Square Lake may have been my favorite of the 3 tri's I did last year (my first 3 tri's ever).  Good luck with the long course!

Taking advice to avoid any large potato and cheese pizzas for pre-race dinner.


I drove the Bike and Run course this weekend
and it looks beautiful.

I swam across square lake yesterday while my friend biked the course. It's beautiful up there! The water felt pretty warm too, probably mid 70s.

I am running Boston in April and Ironman Lake Placid is in July. I have been told that it is ambitious to think about doing an IM so close to a marathon due to the recovery time. Any suggestions?
