I did 3 things today, during my training run, that have me buzzing with excitement.

First, at 9.5 miles into my run, I attained my goal for August of running 100 miles. I did it with a week left in the month, too!

Then, at 2:25:00, I had completed 13.15 miles, which equates to a 2:24:26.92 half-marathon time, with an average pace of 11:02/mile. My previous best half-marathon distance time was 2:30:21.81 with a 11:29/mile average pace. I bested myself by over 5 minutes!! Oh, and the time I bested was set only 2 weeks ago!

Finally, at 2:40:41, I achieved my 14.5 mile distance goal for the day with an 11:05/mile average pace, besting the 2:52:18 it took me to run 13.87 miles last Sunday and besting the pace I set for the 13.26 mile run from 2 weeks ago by 24sec/mile!

It feels good to achieve!!

You certainly earned the right to feel accomplished! That's a lot of running and some very nice improvement!

Work your weakness. In the sport of triathlon, most coaches agree that you should spend the most time working on your weakest of the three sports. For many of you this will be swimming!
