Subject: Hello from Florida A few years ago an aunt of mine who was just a few years older had a sudden fatal heart attack. I decided then and there I was going to start taking better care of myself and exercise more. I swore off red meat and only had chicken and fish for a bit. I have since sworn off chicken because of the artificial hormones. I joined a gym and worked out most nights. I moved to a new gym with a heated pool, sauna, weight rooms, spin bikes, exercise bikes, and treadmills. I devised a workout plan but was not getting the results I wanted. After doing some online research, I decided I could do better if I started training for a triathlon. I discovered this site and did the first two free weeks of the couch to sprint silver plan and was hooked! Now I'm on week three and bummed because I did not get to swim because the pool was closed for the night. I'm also hoping to connect with other like-minded individuals for encouragement. I did my first 5K this past weekend and am hoping to be in shape for my first sprint in April. |
