Good morning BT!  Just like that, right back into the swing of things. Thanks for all the good first day wishes--it was a great day!

4:15am:  75 mins on the KK

5:30am:  30 mins IT Stairs--2 full rounds agaiin.  Now that I know the routine I'm getting faster and should be able to get through three rounds next time.

Have a great day and happy training!

Total of 72 minutes of running (66 of it AM plus jog to gym PM)
PM 35 minutes strength

No need for "stair workouts" here. Only 26 steps to my apt. now ( old place had 66, with no elevator) but my classroom is still 76 steps up and of course my class doesn't fit in an elevator, so I do a lot of stairs each day with kids in tow!

Love this part of Summer when the weather is still perfect (Well, its always near perfect any time of the year) and the kids are back at school so the beaches are a lot less crowded.

Started out at the beach on the way to work this morning and ran from Powerhouse Park up to Seaside Reef and back and then did 1 lap of the buoy. (6 mile run, 1000 meter swim)

The idea was just to shake the legs out a bit and get them ready for a proper run workout later in the day.

At lunch I started out at the Torrey Pines Trail Head and ran up to Dog Beach in Del Mar and stopped off on the way back and did 1 lap of the 17th street buoy before finishing the run at marathon pace. (10 mile run, Last 3 @ MP, 1000 meter swim)

With 7 weeks to go before Long Beach, its time to start some race specific training. I have an Olympic 2 weeks before so I still need to focus on SBR. It sounds crazy but I did really well last year with this same schedule and found that SBR training really amped up my marathon and in any case, I was NOT disappointed.
