I wish I was! We will be in Pa for my wife's BQ race. But I'll be at B2B for the half!

Anybody know the current water temperature? I'm thinking it will be not wetsuit again this year!

I would not count on WL being wetsuit legal, Carol! It's been bathtub warm for the past few fall races.

It's all part of the White Bake experience! :P

Quick question...

Does the WL Half use changing tents?

ETA: Nevermind...it looks like you have to change in a port-o-john. That sucks.

What do you need a changing tent for?

I was thinking of changing into an aero tri suit...since this isn't a wetsuit legal race, and I'm not wearing a speedsuit over another suit (all I can think of is drag), I was going to change (quickly)...Still not decided what I'm going to do.

For posterity sake:

Thurs before race:
"Water temperature: At 3:30pm on Thursday, September 10, 2015, the water temperature at White Lake was recorded at 84 degrees. With rain in the area over the next couple of days, we expect that this temp. could drop slightly by race day. An official reading will be taken on race morning."

Saturday (Oly and Half races)
82 deg

Sunday (Sprint race)
81 deg.

My family and I stayed in Whitesville about a half hour from White Lake. Simple EconoLodge hotel. Great pizza place right up the street. Cheap enough for two nights.

I was there with my wife, 8 year old little man, and baby girl. She was one of those little ones running around everywhere waiting for the awards to. Good time

My first triathlon was at age 56. At first I was just the cameraman at my daughter's first triathlon, then I am doing the races that she has done.

I have Bontrager Race Lite wheels. I was looking into renting Zipp 303's or 404's for race day for Ironman Lake Placid. What time will I save?

The first time I ventured into the deep murky green lake and could not see the bottom my muscles tensed and my imagined fears surfaced. What exactly lies beneath?
