Who's following ?

The Jr Elites were pretty fast. Well, the French were :-)

Who will win men's ? I would like Gomez to win this weekend and next at 70.3 WC

Women ? It would nice to see a Canadian break through.

Will be checking in today. Any way to watch the junior elites?

Wish I could be there, but being in Chicago next year and living 2 hours north means I'll see it all next year.

I'm following it. Gwen Joregensen down by 49 sec after one (of four) run laps. Her running talent really makes these races interesting - this should be a great finish.
Nice to see Paul Findlay with the lead bike group. Wait until next year!
Too bad that Sweetland had to drop out.

We're having a blast up here! The venue is awesome and the racing is top notch! The people of Edmonton have been fabulous...congratulations Canada! Jr. grabbed a bronze in 16-19 sprint AG.....11th overall. Icing on the cake of a great trip!

Had a blast. LB and his crew were nice to meet. Watched Russ Pennock place 5th. His coach is a former team mate and old friend.

3rd is a great performance for his son, there was some adversity but LB can tell the story if he wants to later. I was 24/78 in my AG with the top swim, 9 or 10 days off the bike and run less than a month out was not ideal (taper and racing at FINA)

She was puking on the bike. Still trying to figure what happened to Sarah-Anne. All 3 are redheads to boot. Maybe Ellen Pennock should dye her hair :-)

Was at the race today. Those boys are quick.... If Mola and Gomez had another lap, they could have caught Allie.
Under 30 min 10 k. Crazy!

AB figured out what pace he had to run to win by 30 seconds and ran it. No way they would have caught him.

True enough. I heard that quote after as well. He did look like he was struggling as well. But I think that is how he always runs.

I raced in the elite paratri on Saturday. Tough course (going up that hill 4 times zapped my legs for the run) but it was a great race. Looking forward to Chicago in '15!

Heather Lendway (AG overall winner) is the sister of a girl I work with here in Minneapolis. She has won 10 races this year, including Age Group Nats and MPLS Lifetime Tri. She's only in her 3rd year doing triathlon and a likely candidate for amateur triathlete of the year. As an aside, apparently the 1-2-3 women's AG finishers at the MPLS tri were 1-2-3 at ITU worlds. That was one competitive group!

Oh damn. I thought my friend Alison was the AG overall winner.

And I didn't even ready the post above. Hah, looks like everyone thought they were the overall winner.

They need to post the combined times. Or maybe they did, but I didn't see them. It looks like my friend Alison was 2nd overall for the sprint. I wonder if she knows that.

overall times would be relatively meaningless if you saw how transition was set up.

HA!!

The only times I can find are for each AG.  If you want to know overall placing you have to go through the AG times to find it.  There were no overall awards given that I know of.  Jr. got a bronze in the 16-19 sprint and was 11th overall (all ages, men and women)....but he had to look at the other AG's to find his overall placement.

Yep, and then there is that issue....which is probably why there were no OA awards.

My expectations for the quality of this years’ Triathlon world championship were fulfilled. This was because of the superb location that is like no other along with having the top triathletes present.
