I use they Y on Shadowbend in the Woodlands quite frequently in the afternoons. I live near the Woodlands but work downtown Houston so I use the Downtown Y in the morning and the Woodlands in the afternoons. The Woodlands Y is rarely busy in comparison to the Downtown Y which can get very busy at times. As mentioned above the Y does have swim teams but they always keep two lanes open for lap swimming and I can say I have never waited for a lane at Shadowbend but I have waited more then 15 minutes for a lane at the Downtown Y more then once.
