Her run was spectacular. Just spectacular.

But she can give most of the credit for that particular win to Haskins who saved her on the bike.

She would not have won that race on her own.

I found the women's race much more exciting than the men this year.
But ABs performance was something else. Swim with no goggles, ride like a mad man and keep everyone in check on the run.

She definitely owes Haskins after yesterday credit goes to both for that race.

AB is just an animal who races from gun to tape. I know a lot of people get bored watching the mens races because it seems that only 3 really win, but sometimes you just need to admire their ability to dominate races like that.

Really curious to see how Gomez does in Tremblant Sunday.

Yep, exactly right. We talked to Sarah for quite a while when she ended up on our return flight (our kids know her through open water swim clinics she has put on for them) and she told us that Gwen had called and asked her to pull on the bike. Haskins is still run injured and her day was over after her work for Gwen. There is SO much more to draft legal racing then just getting through the race. It's the best triathlon racing there is IMO.

I am very impressed to see her putting herself in a position to run for the win despite some of the struggles she has on the bike. I hope she continues to improve the bike as if she is able to consistently ride with the first pack, it is going to force the entire women's race to change.
