Subject: after the knee, the hip, the calf...
it's the ankle that causes me problems.

a pain in my left ankle appeared out of nowhere (on the evening of a day off, didn't feel anything on my run the day before) and is not getting better.

not looking for medical advice, I am going to see my physio next week (or my ankleist as he is now known, after having been my hipist and my kneeist).
just venting my frustration. arrrrrgggg!!!

and also expressing my happiness at training triathlon, if I was just a runner I wouldn't be able to train at all but I can still swim and bike! yeahhhh

Deep calf pain can be a tricky problem to deal with, and it’s appropriate that you are paying attention to this pain before it becomes a more debilitating injury.

Calf pain can have multiple causes. In your case, the most likely cause seems to be from a calf muscle strain. If you have had Achilles problems you can be predisposed to a calf injury.

I have a pain deep in my calf about five inches below the knee. A sports doctor did not feel anything wrong in the muscle, and there was no bruising. The tender spot can still be felt on massage.

During a "power yoga" session I noticed pain with hip adduction/internal rotation. Running and biking don't seem to bother it, as long as I don't push it. I still have achy pain with walking.

I have noticed an occasional pain in my left hip flexor. The pain is most noticeable when running uphill. Is there a way to fix the problem without taking time off from training?
