That's pretty funny. Years ago I accidently bought the 50+ vitamins thinking that there were more than 50 vitamins and minerals included. Someone had to tell me that that's not what the label meant...

For the record I'm not actually bummed at all about getting older, I'm just getting a kick out of all the signs that remind me. Granted I haven't gotten to the aches and pains yet, so I might be changing my tune when that comes. When I turned 20 I was actually bummed because I had this idea that getting older meant that you got proportionately more boring, but thankfully I finally realized that was a complete load. As long as you keep doing the stuff you love, age is more or less irrelevant. In fact I'm really looking forward to my retirement! A shanty on the beach with my windsurfing board, a hammock, and a bazillion books to read. With my diet, lifestyle, and genetics, I'm hoping I can even make it past 100.

Being more susceptible to claustrophobia sucks though...it does get worse with age.

You have just discovered the secret of life.  And the secret of longevity.

One definite sign that I am getting older is that I repeat things to people, like I will tell them the same story I just told them!  LOL

My wife met with a local state congress person last week.  He wasn't born when she went off to college.  That made her feel old.  Made me feel old too.

My wife told me that even if I was 50, I couldn't get the "Mature" vitamins because I act like i'm in 5th grade,

I remember celebrating my dad's 50th birthday (seems like 2 weeks ago) and thought he was so old. I'm now 53 and was I ever wrong.

If you're thinking you're getting old crossing the 3-0 barrier, you're in for a rough ride.

What tips me off that I'm getting old? Well, it sure ain't the maturity level.

My wife tells me I've been "old" since high school. What, the "get off my lawn" signs mean I'm old?

A little while back, I mentioned that I was getting old. She said, "Honey, you're already old."

Okay, I'm getting "older". Older than old... But having a child just short of my 50th birthday keeps me young.

When I turned 30, yeah I felt "old". Living in a college town surrounded by college kids as they come and go made me feel like the character from "Fast Times at Ridgemont High" with the line (sic) "I just keep getting older but they stay the same age".

I'm still in the same town and just turned 40. I do what I enjoy doing, in the best shape of my life (considering I didn't exercise before 35, not hard to do) and have good friends which helps me stay "young"

When you used to go to hockey games, the players were much older than you, bigger than you; you were a kid, they were adults.  At a somewhat later stage in your life, you realize, hey, cool, we're the same age!  Next stage: wait, were any of these players even born in my decade?  Current stage: these 'kids' were born when?!  Heaven help me, I feel ancient!

A couple of years ago, some kid at work told me "You're like a 20 year old stuck in a 40-year-old's body!"

So I put one of these in his cubicle.

Youth?  Tryin' to flex on me?  Don't be silly.

Thats funny b/c I remember thinking ooooh look at these hot older players when the draft rolled around. Then I was their age (I got a chance!).  Now?  they can be my children. yikes.

I have to regularly trim the hair that grows out of my ears.

That being said, last year, at age 47, I declared myself in the best shape of my life. I was trained up for Racine 70.3 and immediately went into marathon training. I'm not fast, but I'll finish with a smile on my face.

I had to get my daughter-in-law to show me how to text on my phone. I still would rather actually talk to someone, however I do LOVE spellchecker. I like it when my phone makes me laugh, but not too hard, I might wet myself......I'm old

Or remember the days before TiVo when you had to choose between to shows...or worse, the days before VCRs when you had to watch a show when it aired or miss it completely.  (note - if you remember days before remote controls and color TVs, you're no longer getting old - you've been there for a whiile)

Turned 29 at my army officer training course this summer... I'm with a bunch of 22-24 year olds with brand new, shiny, unused college diplomas. I feel old here. But with age comes experience (travel, work, relationships, life, understanding the value of family). I embrace it, but I do find the drama exhausting.

When I get back to Tucson, to my friends where I'm the baby of the group, it'll be a whole different perspective.

People here look at my sideways when I mention that I have friends in their 50s.

I had an old moment today. I said "ooops! I forgot to xerox that" and my fifth graders asked (at least 6 of them) "Whats a xerox?"

I remember being the remote control for my dad. "Go change the channel". How old does that make me?
