Subject: Help assembling flat kit parts...
Picked out some items for a flat kit, any opinions or recommendations?
Also, did i get the right size tube for my mavic cosmic elite wheels? I am assuming 60mm presta valve was the right size.

- Continental 60mm Presta Valve Tube, Black, 700 x 20-25cc

- 16g Threaded CO2 Cartridges 6-Pack Mole-Zap/Ant Zap Refills

- Portland Design Works Shiny Object CO2 Inflator

Looks good other than you need to add...

- need a tire lever
- need a $10 (emergency money / bribe money for a ride home / boot for a hole in the tire)

And of course a cell phone

60 mm should be plenty for that rim.

To Leegoocrap's additions, I'd add:

a) A second tire lever (two total)
b) Small patch kit
c) Multi-function bike tool

For a road bike, it doesn't have to be anything fancy.
The one I use is a super 'cheapy' that came with a seat bag
You just need the basic stuff to keep you going.
Something like this: http://amzn.com/B000FIE49A

For a MTB, the tool should be more comprehensive...

Ok, so i have most of the flat kit covered.
The tube i shoved under the seat and the tools are going into the bento box.

My first olympic distance triathlon is this sunday...wish me luck on the race and on not getting a flat again!

In part two of this series of common roadside bike repairs, we show you how to fix a flat tire. Though if you're lucky, a bicycle repairman will wheel by at just the right time.

We will take a peek into the lowly saddlebag to see what needs to be in there in case of emergency. Much of this may be common sense, some might surprise you, and some are simply just my opinion.
