I'm coming back from knee surgery, so I was planning on doing the mini tri next weekend at Deer Creek, just to get back in the swing of things. It will be the only tri I've done this year.

I'm trying to decide whether to do the tri or the du. I don't do well with very cold water — at all. I would wear my wetsuit if the swim was longer, but with it being just 250 yards, it would be more trouble than it's worth.

The duathlon would get me out there and I would have done at least one multisport event this year. That's all I want.

Am I just being a wimp about the cold?

I did the Half there last year, and while there was a slight chill to the water, I think it was actually warmer than the air.... the water was still low 70's, I think.

No idea how it's looking for this year, though. I don't think I've ever found a good online source for the water temps there.
