Good morning BT!

4:30am:  45 minute run

5:15am:  30 mins circuit strength + core

Haven't had a race to train for in a while,  starting to get the itch to sign up for something. I've been holding off because IM CDA training starts in December and I want to go in to that training fresh...but I'm definitely getting the itch to sign up for something.  We shall see.

Have a great day!

My day to give legs a break (well, except for stairs to classroom!). 3000m of swimming. No races here until December HM.

Full rest day for this kid. First day of a 3 week taper (My last full rest day was at the end of marathon season, May 8th)

Legs are feeling awesome and ready to rock the fall/winter racing season.

I am closing out my Triathlon Season next weekend with Carp (Olympic Distance) and opening up marathon season with Long Beach in 3 weeks. I have not solidified my entire schedule yet but will probably do at least 4 marathons with some solid goals in mind; I hope to do well again. (Last Season was my best ever)

This will be my 8th year running Long Beach and they have the best amenities for their legacy runners. (Separate Bag Drop and recovery area with separate bathrooms and area to get cleaned up after the race)

Train Well Everyone and happy Monday :D

I went into the pool area (as this was a pool swim) and got body marked. That's when it hit me that I was there to race - this was not a clinic.

I have been able to swim 200-300 yards without stopping for the past couple of weeks, but this morning I couldn’t swim more than 50. Could not eating make a big differance?

This is not an easy task, especially for the “9-to-5er” with family. But you can do it – all without sacrificing your marriage, job or family.

Once you caught your breath, it occurred to you that finishing even a short triathlon might be harder than you thought. After a few "laps" you thought, "I can't believe I'm so out of shape."
